Gold Wine Classes

Ted Young is a International Gold Medal winner located in Central Ohio.  He will help you make your very first wine.  You will do everything from starting the wine to bottling it.  There will be some classroom study along with hands on training on how to make your own wine. 

Session 1 -- Terminology

During this session you will learn the terms necessary for you to speak wine terminology.  You will learn the types of ingredients and equipment needed along with other terms that are useful for understanding the wine making process.

Session 2 -- Beginning your first Batch

Focus upon proper sanitizing techniques, adjusting your wine for the proper alcohol level, and proper ingredients needed based upon the type of wine you are making.

Session 3 -- Stabilization and Clearing

Understanding the value of properly stabilizing your wine and the necessary steps to ensure your wine is clear.

Session 4 -- Bottling

Proper techniques in preparing the bottles, corking and labeling the wine.  Discussion in aging techniques and storing your wine.
